M: That is the thing I have been doing.

W: I know you just came back from Johannesburg, South Africa, part of your six-nation tour of Africa.

M: Right. You know, Africa has been more affected by AIDS than any other place in the world.

M: Well, yes, but you have to take care of education and prevention and care and treatment at the same time, and the two things speed up each other.

W: How should we understand they speed up each other?

M: When you've got to treat people, you've got to overcome any kind of cultural dislike, talk about it and get young people to behave responsibly and you've got to do whatever you can to get as many people tested as quickly as possible but keep in mind that this is a disease that's one hundred percent preventable.

听力原文: How many teeth have you had filled in the past two years? If you follow the advice of Dr. Faustick 'you may be able to reduce the number of your visits to a dentist. Dr. Faustick conducted a twoyear survey to find out how to prevent or reduce dental decay. 946 students took part in an experiment. 523 students cleaned their teeth within ten minutes of eating when possible they used a tooth brush, when this was impossible they washed their mouth thoroughly with water. The remaining 423 students merely cleaned their teeth when they went to bed and when they got up in the morning. All the students had their teeth X rayed at the end of the first and second years. At the end of the first year, the night and morning group had three times as many decayed teeth as the dean after each meal group. At the end of the second year the latter group had 53 percent fewer decayed teeth than the former group. Dr. Fausstick has cleaned his teeth after meal for thirteen years and has not had a single decayed tooth. He pointed out that sugar is a major agent in dental decay. Particularly the sugar in sweets, cakes, and soft drinks. Ideally you should keep a tooth brush in your pocket and use it immediately after you have finished eating. When this is impractical you can at least make sure that you have a drink of water and let the water through your teeth to force out any particles of food. 7 of out 10 people loose at least half of their teeth by the time they are fifty. Many have a complete set of false teeth by that time. In any case neither toothache nor a visit to a dentist is very pleas ant. So it is worthwhile making an effort to keep you own teeth as long as possible. The main preventative agent is simply water.

听力原文:W: Have you ever attended a group interview? I mean an interview with a group of
interviewers from different areas of the company.

M: Of course yes. Every interviewer has his own particular interest. An HR manager might want to know if you are a good fit for the company, (22) the team leader of the office you are interviewing for might want to see your personality and if it fits with other colleagues, and a supervisor might be there to assess your skills.

W: It seems you do know a lot about it. Would you mind giving me some advice on how to handle it?

M: Well, being interviewed by a group of interviewers is really stressful and the company wants to know if you can handle it. So, (23) I'd suggest practising a group interview with friends beforehand. This could help you deal with the real stress. I believe you can turn the interview into a positive experience by being confident and having the right mindset.

W: Should I collect some information about the group?

M: This might possibly work. (25) But what really matters is how you fit the job. Make sure you fully understand the job description and what will be required of you.

W: How about the company profile?

M: You should also know how the company works, its culture, and how they are structured.

W: How should I make eye contact with the panel?

M: (24)Look directly at the person who asked you the question, but take the time to make eye contact with the other interviewers. However, your attention should be mainly focused on the person who posed you the question.
